LGBTQ+ Pod

The LGBTQ+ pod exists to create a safe space for those who identify within the LGBTQ+ community and allies alike to gather, share support, and learn about one another. The pod meets several times throughout each quarter and has multiple goals, including raising awareness and interest in learning more by providing educational resources, terms, definitions, and more.

The pod has a few different goals. For starters, I want it to be a place for my coworkers to feel safe and free to be themselves! I want to create resources for people who aren’t part of the community to learn more, to break down barriers and foster love and acceptance. We are scaling as a company and a pod, but building something beautiful and queer within DataDome will only help us start to make changes in our communities around the world.

What has the LGBTQ+ pod been up to?

DATADOME PRIDE

BotBusters are loud and proud from New York, to Paris, Singapore, and beyond!

Our events and culture teams collaborated to bring DataDome pride shirts to life. Here we see Chief Marketing Officer Aurelié Guerrieri, Director of Field Marketing Nicole Stavenau, Communications Manager Noelle Conrad, and Account Executive Lucia Nassif representing the LGBTQ+ community at the RSA conference.

LGBTQ+ TERM DICTIONARY

Members of the pod join forces to define terminology within the community and empower understanding among all BotBusters with a live, proprietary page hosted internally. The dictionary includes vocabulary focused on gender expression, gender identity, and more.

LGBTQ+ MEDIA

BotBusters share an ongoing list of television shows, movies, and books that represent the LGBTQ+ community. This is an internally shared space of global recommendations with the intent of promoting education on the history, realities, and experiences of those who paved the way for acceptance. The pod is also working to add business-related books written by queer authors to DataDome’s office libraries in New York and Paris.

I love the acceptance and encouragement this pod offers. I am constantly learning how I can help and be a better ally to my LGBTQ+ friends. I have always felt the inclusivity in the LGBTQ+ community, and the fact DataDome respects and provides a safe space for the community is amazing. I constantly feel the inclusion every time there is a meeting!
