Laurette Charlier

Vice President People

This year celebrates my 19th anniversary in the field of people and human resources. My journey began with foundational roles in hiring and recruitment and has evolved to my current position as a leader within the executive team at DataDome. This path has afforded me a wealth of opportunities, enriching my career as an HR professional with invaluable insights and experiences.

As we conclude the first quarter of 2024, March represents a period of rejuvenation and new opportunities at DataDome. In my role as VP of People, I have the distinct honor of observing the diverse facets of our business and the talented individuals driving our success and growth. Notably, women represent over 26.9% of our team at DataDome—a figure we are committed to increasing in our ongoing efforts to enhance women's representation.

Embracing Diversity as a Core Value

At DataDome, growth is one of our core values, not just a box to check. It is rather a guiding principle when it comes to working at DataDome. Today, 33% of our global management team is made up of women versus the industry average of 26.5% of executive, senior-level, and management positions in S&P 500 companies. Women in leadership are represented in various departments and are an everyday inspiration for all of us.

Building a Resilient Future Through Mentorship

We recently celebrated our first cohort of mentors through our Diversity and Inclusion partner, Fireside. Within the framework of a pilot program, BotBusters Rym, Engineering Manager, Sarah, Operations Manager, and Konstantina, Staff Data Scientist, have dedicated themselves to supporting their mentees, whether they are embarking on their initial tech positions or progressing into leadership roles within the ecosystem.

We have committed our support in future mentorships to invest in the change and growth of tomorrow’s tech industry—one where girls can look up to role models and examples of tech leadership and success. As part of our Women Empowerment Pod, we are proud to have the support of more than a quarter of our employee base. These pod members actively rally behind the advancement of women within our industry.

Equality in Numbers

For our workforce located in France, our Gender Equality Index is one of our highest-scoring and most recognizable figures. Intended for companies larger than 50+ employees, this index provides an indication based on numerous factors including the gender pay gap, pay increases, promotions, female employees returning from maternity leave, and parity among the 10 highest wages. DataDome is proud to display a 92/100, superseding the industry average of 88 points.

Flexibility & Work-Life Balance

As a working mother, I understand the importance of a balanced life—one where women can nurture a professional career while balancing the fulfillment of motherhood. At DataDome, we have done a tremendous job recognizing the importance of empathy and understanding in the workplace for BotBusters who are parents. We have seven DE&I Pods, including the Parenting Pod which boasts more than 35 working parents and is growing!

As we close out this quarter with remarkable growth, we want to take a moment to recognize the women who have contributed to DataDome’s evolution and who continuously dedicate their expertise to the fight against fraud. For International Women’s Day, we want to thank all the amazing women who have made this possible:
